The project I just finished up was putting together a 32 shell. I'm cheap, instead of buying a repop shell, I spliced together a repop shell from 3 different pieces from 2 different manufacturers. The bottom is brookville and the top is unknown. I had an original insert and used it to make the grille whole again.

I think we may share a gene or two. I was going to mount my aftermarket temp/oil gauges from behind to match the speedo I pieced together but some wiseacre had already butchered the original 32 insert's(which i insist on using)first hole ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409788805.613843.jpg recently I cut up 6" strips from the old rusty Plymouth rear crossmember I hacked out of my frame to use in the center X member I'm making out of boxing plates instead of buying a pre-fab. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1409789014.708210.jpg good frugality Sir!

I really like the gauge panel. I've always thought a toggle switch with a push button to start was neat. Kind of race car stuff. How did you do your engine turned insert? It looks great.

I had to get a seat for this old thing. I had this model a seat frame with a bad bottom, so I built one out of some 1x3 tubing.

The ends of the dash rail never really flowed into the doors like they should of, and I cut them off a long time ago. I figured I should get them back on before I lost them.

I'm using a model T gas tank in the car. I made some brackets that weld to one of the floor crossmembers.

The Great Radiator Debacle of 2014!

I didn't think the radiator setup would be very hard for this car... I was wrong. I borrowed a beautiful v8 radiator from my buddy Dave for mockup, it was way off. My dad and I figured cutting and notching the crossmember and raising the motor would be the best way to make everything work. The grille is level with the cowl now and doesn't look like a bad nose job. All the water outlets are a straight shot.

The two rear steel floor pans are finished up and tied in with the crossmember for the fuel tank.

I pulled the motor out to put new rear transmission mount on and finish welding on the front crossmember and firewall.

My dad (Lytles Garage) has been helping me out a ton on this thing. He has been rebuilding all the wheel cylinders and bending up all the brake and fuel lines. They look bitchin. He makes sure all the mechanicals are right and all the important things I cant think of are done.

I used a 32 pickup dash with a 30-31 roadster dash rail in my rpu conversion. They worked out well together.

Nice work on the project so far. Keep the pics coming.

Big end of cylinder to the front.

Early Ford brakes: Big end of cylinder and long lining on shoe to the front.

Swap them side to side and they will be right.

You sure about that mart?...the forward rotation"pulls" the front shoe in so it needs to be shorter and have less pressure right? Ergo the smaller end of the wheel cylnder.........
