Yeah, I know, stupid worthless thread but I had this Merc come in for some work today, very street roddy (350/350, Mustang II, PS PW AC, you get it) but a nice car. I happen to drive my 40 to work today, a very traditional old hot rod. Snapped a couple pics of them together. Looking at them I realized, same year, both Ford Motor company but I think the headlights would swap and nothing more. Thought it was interesting to be so close the same but soooo different, just goes to show how diversfied this hobby of our is!
You sure fenders, front and back wouldnt bolt up? Look similar, with exception of the tail lights and gas filler location.
Bumpers interchange, because I have done it, Merc front grille guard is same as Ford with Mercury cap on it.,,,bumper bolts are all the same spacing...
