I have a engine leveler ... but that is a neat tool. I have to own one.
I will order one ... first thing Monday morning.

I have dealt a lot with these old caddy motors and I see a lot of the intakes broken at the bolt bosses. I wouldn't use the lift plate on one. I would bolt the chain to the head either directly or with the help of some of those factory lifting brackets you find in the boneyard.
