    1. Are the 48-early 50's chevrolet truck cabs the same on the 1 ton and on a standard pickup?

    2. when swapping to an s10 chassis does the 48 cab mount in the same area as the s10 ?

    3. the reason i ask is i have a chance to buy a cab and front clip off early 50's chevrolet 1ton (frame is trash ) though about putting it on my 93 s10 longbed frame and using the s10 longbed since i am only getting a cab and front clip.

    PLEASE HELP!!:D

you will have to make all new mounts for everything.most of the time it's better to modify the stock frame you're in for a lot of work to do what you want.

I think I saw a company that made a conversion kits for the same process. It was at Back to the 50`s a few years ago. Using a S-10 frame and 48-53 pick-ups. Can`t remember there name.

There are a couple of places that do that.
PERSONALLY, I thought their prices were fairly steep.
A google search will bring them up.
