How are you going to stop that thing with drum brakes? It's never going to work.

I can attest to the quality of the exhaust. It was the stand out feature for me when I saw the car last year at Newstead.

You should tell the story about how you came to reunite that pair.

I just found/read this thread for the first time tonight. Thought #1 .... your roadster is just plain cool. Thought #2 Have you told your Dad lately that he too is just plain cool?

  11. awesome car, looking real cool.

  12. My old man got this '34 Lasalle from the area back in the 1980's (80's are awesome!) with no lenses or gauges. His mate ended up getting him one in 1986 for $150usd then he found out about a '34 Lasalle in Nepal with 9000 miles on being parted out. Some rich dude had it shipped there pulled apart and carried in pieces to his house in the hills with no roads out off there were it was reassembled and sat. The old man got the taillights, steering wheel, hubcaps and gauges. So that makes 3 tail lights, he then said i could have one and good luck finding another. 6 months roll on and at the bendigo swap meet a friend runs up to tell me his found one! for $50. the only thing we can come up with is it must be the lens off his '34 as it came from bendigo and came from the factory with a single tail light!

She is sweet. I'm in the process myself. Using a glass body tho. Would of rather had steel but you gotta play the cards you're dealt.
