WOW! Between the old pics of you and that near miss for the Chevy.. that's hard on the nerves! ;)
Believe me... I won't show any pics of me from that long ago! ;)

I hope the anti-b's help the latest issue.
I used to joke that "It's hard to be human". I don't joke about it anymore.

Been more bored and frustrated this week that usual, starting to go through these old pics has been fun, now I want my old 55 back lol! Roger stopped in today, he was picking up a hood in Kentville, so they stopped in, then a buddy I usually only see in Moncton called while he was waiting for the ferry to Newfoundland, so we had a good gab about cars, so not a bad day. The near miss prompted me to get it running and roadworthy after burning out on it a couple years prior. That ridiculous thing was a blast to drive, put less than 100 miles on it before we left for Syracuse, ran great for recycled junk!

    "Recycled junk" ????
Is there anything else for us on the budgets we have?? Budget. what a silly word. It implies that we have actual money allotted for a project when all know we rob from every pocket we have and any pocket we can dip our hands into. ;)
It looks like you "done good". :)
Cool that Roger dropped in and so did your other buddy. It helps with the boredom and frustration.
I haven't dropped by because I haven't been well enough for the trip that I planned. Hopefully soon.

  10. That hood should be fun painting, huh ? How does one prevent fogging thru the louvers ? Or you don't ? Just do it, and color sand all of them ? Both sides ? Ugh. Damn, the things that must be done for cool.

One of the best reads in this joint. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust .... oh wait, I can maybe build a rad' ride from these rusticles. Yep, you're the man ! It's looking good, ain't it ?

    :)

Lol thanks! This hood is not likely gonna stay, the louvers don't really go with the rest of the car now , I have 4 extra hoods to experiment with someday...someone wanted to see my mugshot?[IMG][IMG]

Yes they both look good!Have you selected which hood to use?I am pretty sure that you should mount up the hood and paint the car as a unit.If you don't than the paint may not match despite using the same paint.A guy had a 61 Edsel that clearly showed the color variation in the lavender paint because the parts were painted at different times.

  16. I like louvers. You've done everything else. Maybe before you figure out how to section your wheels, or shave your lug nuts .... what would a pancaked hood do to your louvered hood thoughts ?

And make sure you do this with your leg in a cast, at night, in gale force winds, with a hacksaw and plumbing torch ... so that I may continue to feel inadequate, while reading your thread.

Thanks, Rikster made a digital template based on pics of the car I sent him, after I fucked them up the first time, these are actually the 4 door windows cut down, much better!

Probably the last or near last thing, the blue shouldn't be considered paint, it's more like "a little better than grey sealer" ! I still have some minor mods planned and another hood , some stuff I'm not happy with, plus it needs a month of finish body work. I'm gonna start on wiring and plumbing , exhaust stuff, stuff I can pick at slowly and not get dirty !

There is actually one body panel on the car that is completely 100% stock, the cowl vent lol!

By the time I get another hood restored the car will be likely past due for paint.. ( it might never get changed too) plus it's eventually getting some 49 Mercury taillights, the blue is mostly because I don't want to look at primer and my daughter likes blue !

There is so much sugar in pop. Bad stuff. Gives you a false rush and then kills the energy.
I remember now that you had said you lost weight. I usually find it when others lose it.
But now I weigh less than I have for 10 years.
    Ah well.

You say that blue is just for now. What's the final plan or do you have one that you haven't changed your mind on a few times? Like I haven't changed the rear suspension on the T about 5 times.... ;)
