Hey guys! Just curious if anyone has had experience with selling or buying a V8-60 lately. I’ve got a running V8-60 that I’d like to sell. I know they are kind of unique and not many around.

value is always determined by what the buyer is willing to pay..and its never the same in a different situation

A couple of years ago, I bid on a stuck V8-60 in a local auction. It was real grubby, but complete, down to the transmission and Stromberg 81. I dropped out at $200, and it finally sold for $800 plus commission.

I know "value is always determined by what the buyer is willing to pay", but that really doesn't help someone like you. I just thought I'd add a little "real world" experience.

    I don't know, but with that huffer on there, I'd say it's a V8-60+!
    I like it!

I'm not much of an expert on 60's. I can't see; is that a "tin-side"? do you know what year it is? I believe the 1940 V8-60's are considered the best.

A few years ago I had 2 V8 60's complete motors, don't know if they ran or not. They came with a set of Aluminum finned heads, Aluminum intakes and carbs, a few Eddy Myer parts. Put on E-Bay and got 3K for the lot. The winner e-mails me and said please UPS me the Aluminum parts well boxed and my secretary will call a shipper to pic up the block & misc. stock parts. A local shipper came, 3 years later I get a call from the shipper saying I have 2 Apple Bins that were never shipped because of lack of a destination. I picked the motors and parts up and later traded them off. I truly believe the winner JUST wanted the speed equipment and not the rest.........................................................

I sold one about 3 years ago that was not running, but turned over easily and had 32,000 miles on it for $700 including transmission....

I would say that if the engine doesn't need any work, I'll give you $500 for it.

    Give you
    3 musketeers bar
    comb
    bottle of old harpers
    beef jerky
    ball point pen
    flashlight batteries.
5 bonus points if you got the movie reference ;)
Seriously, toss it on that big auction site with a reserve of the least you'll take and let the public decide.

I’d be offended if anyone didn’t get that reference. “I lost my ID I’m a flood”

    Thanks for the input guys!
