Really cool sedan. I didn't know Olds made one that late. Hope you don't need a snorkel at Bville. I'm gonna make that trip one day... . keep on having fun.

I thought that was your car in Seligman Az. with the hood up. I was gonna stop but you were gone when I came by later. Passed you guys again going into Peach Springs on my way to my next stop. You guys were cruisin' low & slow. Cool ride, cool trip. Have fun.

  9. Hey, is Elvis still sitting on that Edsel in Seligman?

    Sorry man,

we german dudes are glad that we recognize the difference between a fox and a wolf:-D
In Germany we neither have dingos or coyotes;-)

I thought the west end of Route66 is LA, not Melbourne^^

I heard Boniville is rained out, if you are going to be near Los Angeles, call my friend and fellow Lifter club member Stepfan, he is German, and we are in San Diego. If you need something to do and want to visit, give him a call at 619 944 1147

I just checked the SCTA website, it shows that the meet is delayed because of the rain / water. Pit set up and inspection expected to happen on Sunday 8/10, racing expected to start Monday 8/11.

  15. I know my Beer... but it's customary to take photo's of the local pastries cuisine such as the ones on Poverty Flats road trips!

  16. Hope to see you guys at Speed Week. We'll be there early on Sunday. Safe travels!

Yesterday after the night in the El Pueblo Motel in Flagstaff, we had a really good breakfast in the restaurant next to the Museums Cafe. The drive to Kingman an than to Las Vegas was really cool. We saw some nice cars in Williams

The next bigger stop was than seligman.. It is funny to see how all the tourists drive from point to point in the big busses with air conditioning to see the Gift shops or Indian jewellery shops. wow, that's real road feeling ;)
We walked around and saw an older man and a few caravans. He saw that we came with the olds and so we started to talk. His name was Lans and he showed us his work, he's a cool guy.

I am glad to see you enjoying this trip so much. As a child I took many trips from Texas to California on 66 when there was no I40 and all of those towns alive and fill with people. We went to Chicago once in 1958. My dad drove all night so I saw a lot of it lighted by neon. I still love to drive it and all of the old highways. 50 is another good one.

In Kingman then we stopped at Mr. D'z. It's a nice little diner. We decided to drive directly to Vegas cause it was to late for the Grand Canyon. The view on the road to Kingman and then to Las Vegas was so nice, I can't really describe it and also the pictures can't show how beautiful this area was with all the mountains. On The way to Vegas we saw a junkyard with some very nice cars

It was a cool tour that day untill we arrived in Vegas. I only checked the oil but when I tried to start the engine the battery was to empty, damn! While checking what it could be, a friendly guy called James asked if he can help us and also said that he could give us a Generator and a Regulator if we need it, wow. Luckily we could drove to our hotel and today I figured out that there was no positive signal from the ignition to start the Generator work. But it was so hot. We never have it that hot in Germany when we work on our cars ;)
