Django, 57Wagon and I made the 2400 mile r/t from Chicago to the Roundup with only minor problems along the way. In the caravan was my 59 Bel Air, a 36 Ford, a 55 Cameo, a 57 Chevy wagon, and an "old timer" in a v6-powered 39 Chevy coupe that kicked all our butts! George is our hero. We managed to miss tornados, quarter-sized hail, and herds of deer. 57Wagon's 57 Wagon had a bad driveline vibration, so it got trailered... and became a band equipment hauler for the Hot Rod Hucksters... and a parts car for me! The windows chronicled the trip. The other windows read "Boyd Rulez" "Trailer Queen" and "Corrosion Kills" Hellfish and the Puggle of Doom Umm, OK. Frankie, say hello to the pig. I made it! and only lost 1 exhaust tip.
It was really good to have the Chicago crew in force. We missed fancy pants, but the rest made up for the loss. Thanks again for making the long haul, I hope it met your expectations. TZ
It was a blast... both the trip and the show itself. I thought the post-Pileup seemed lawless... but the Roundup is like the Pileup on Red Bull! I hope we can make it next year! Here's us playing at Trophy's on Saturday after Lil' Bobby Bleed http://captain-picard.kicks-ass.org/photos/2006/hucksters/ and someone took videos in case you missed us! http://captain-picard.kicks-ass.org/photos/2006/hucksters/video/

Awesome time!!!! Austin Rocks!!!! Other than the fact that I had to be a trailer queen on the way down,,,,,, I was back up this morning after about 6 hours sleep,,, and started MAKING SURE that that won't happen again!! And THANKS TO CROW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His carb lending skills help make sure that wagon got off the trailer,, after we snagged the carb off it, and put it on Hellfish's car!!
