I want a round radio to match the theme that I have in my modified pickup. Is there any such thing? vintage or new?

I had one in a '58 Ford F650, sold it for $500, don't know what actual "street value" of one of them is, I wish I still had it though.. Good luck finding one.

EBay usually has some, type in 53 or 55 or there abouts ford radio. Cars & trucks both used these, trucks up to '60.

Couldn't you take a conventional rectangular radio and hammer form it to a round shape?

Check mid-50's Ford trucks. I don't know what years exactly.

Some of the mid 1930s Fords had round radios but getting them to work might take a while.

I have a '57-'60 F100 radio that I'll sell. Only the round face will show through the dashboard. Needs knobs but I can provide a place that sells them.

I was gonna use it in my ride but decided that I liked the look of the dash better w/o it.

  17. There is a guy in houston tx that converts old style am radios in cd changers.. I can try to figure out more about this..

  18. There's not much to listen to on AM anymore, but I did stumble onto a bright spot on the AM dial a couple months ago. If you're more on the east coast tune in 740AM out of Toronto on Saturday night from 7 to midnight. But only if you enjoy a wide variety swing, jive, jump and rockabilly music from the 40's on up. I can usually pick them up here in northern Indiana, most of the time, pretty well, if the weather's not to bad. Though you can also pick 'em up online too. But a little static and fade kind of sounds good with this type of music.

And you don't need a round radio to listen to them.

That was gonna be my guess....

Also 57-60 Ford "squarecab" trucks used a round radio.

No need to guess a 1955 Ford Car Radio has a round front plate and dial. I might have one in my '55 Ford extra parts box, I'll have to look.
