Thanks D-Rat. I'll be driving to Viva Las Vegas in about a month!

  4. Killer little car with so many innovative ideas well executed!

One question, how much fuel does the back seat hold, and how far does that big block go on it? :)

I like it. BBC, that's Hot Rod! I'd run beefier rear radius arms. I seen those bend with SBC's & your towing.

Maybe add plates with lighting holes to those.

Thanks AJ. The tank holds about 12.5 gallons. I thought about turning the bottom part of the seat into an auxiliary tank but I'm getting about 18mpg on the highway with this 396. Because I have a 30" tire in the rear and 2.75 gears in the 9inch. I end up getting about 200 miles on a full tank.

Funny you mentioned that... I took the car on the dyno at a local tech school and did 107mph in 2nd gear! I don't know if I have enough balls to see how far it will go in 3rd.

I made a hole for the new speedo with the plasma and filled in some more of the dash.

Lookin good, I'll be lookin forward to seeing it at Viva. I'm a Sincity TailDragger, come by our camp & have a drink. We're having a lil party Friday afternoon with a live band, tacos & beer of coarse... Haha... I won't have my 35 Chrysler there this year. The motor started knocking, but I'll have my 29 pick-up there

I'll see you guys there if the car makes it! My band is playing on Thursday in the main ballroom. Then its party time! Until Sunday. I'm excited as hell to be making the drive. I dont know if my wife is as excited to ride in a loud, windowless, 85 year old rust bucket though.

Any new progress or are you just driving the crap out of it?? This is a really, cool build and you have incorporated some amazing features into it!! Excellent work and I love the fact that you tow that sweet ass little trailer with it too!! I can't wait to see some more!!

There wont be much progress on this until winter. All this summer I have been driving the car as much as I can. I'm actually driving it to Utah for Speedweek this weekend.

Well here is a pic at Bonneville. About 1200miles round trip. The last long road trip before I tear down the car for the winter.[IMG]

Now time to get back to work. I'm am so tired of my car being rusty. Its time for paint...or at least primer for a while. I have a ton of bullet holes, see through metal and dents to hammer out. Not to mention finishing up the chop on the doors, a-pillers, etc.

I actually have the repop patch panels for the quarters but I really didn't like the look of em. So I ended up just making what I had to.

I'm very slowly turning this that bucket into a bondo bucket! This will be by most extensive bodywork/ paint job ever.

I think I might paint it early VW pastel green with a black belt line and tan pinstripe. Here is a car I Photoshopped to the best of my abilities. What do you guys think? [IMG]
