roto-flo shock advice?

    anyone on the hamb ever take the back cover off a roto-flo shock? i have a full set of 4 i think model a ford and am going to use them on a rail frame midget.iwould like to get them apart for polishing and maybe changing the arms. thanks mike

    A friend of mine has had them apart. They are filled with a natural rubber compound.

    A previous post here advises that the Roto-flo shocks are in fact filled with a thick oil/grease compound which changes its properties into a semi-solid after 3-5 decades of non-use. These were accessory shocks made for European cars in the 40s-50s.
