Last year I drove from Carlisle,pa to South Bend, In and I only saw 2 cops. That was from 1 am till 8 am. Sometimes they are out and sometimes they are not.

Ken - you said it all - it really is Holy Ground.

State troopers? Yes we "met" a few but they were cool and simply asked us to slow down.

Here's the first of the photos from the salt...

As kids we only wanted to look at books with pictures, then as adults the books only had words. The HAMB has turned me back into a kid!

These are pics and memories to last a lifetime, AWESOME...right click, save pictures as.

Here's the last of the photos for now. I took nearly 1,000, all with a cheap compact camera so I'm surprised they came out so well. Ken is planning to post the pick of them plus more (he has 2,500 in total plus some videos) on the Bones Pit Crew website.

Dave - look forward to seeing you and Mary again at garage night.

As many of you know, the drivers of the two streamliners, Dennis Varni and George Poteet, are also owners of Bones-built cars.

Some of the best pictures are the natural, not set-up ones. I believe the Bones are living the dream, and bringing all there friends along and enjoy every second of it. I think every HOT RODDER needs to go to Bonneville once. Thanks for all the great pictures and words.
