rolling bones reliability run 2009. what you missed!!!

The first day was gorgeous... it was a long run but well worth it... all you wimps that thought the weather was going to be bad....you lost out....
here are some pics...
the first night pig out was at a cool hot rod shop in berlin ct.
the next day was rainy and some went home instead of the breakfast at the garage... wow!!! it was another awesome shop...it was decided to end the run because of the rain, but just seeing those 2 hot rod shops was the balls....or nutz. lol
the ride home was a little wet but a great time was had by all...
hope to see you all next year!

It's killin' me I missed it! I wanted to go soooo bad but with no roof for the roadster there was no way. I'll be there next year with the roof in place and maybe even some side curtains to boot.

Yeah, that's a real cool car. Rumor has it, they pulled it out of a junk yard, put gas in it and drove it cross country to Bonneville. Totally unbelievable!!

I think we debunked that rumor when it was posted. The pictures posted about the "find" were about as faked as a Playboy models breasts. Like you said...........TOTALLY unbelievable.

Dont get me wrong i love the look of rolling bones cars but just getting a little bored of em now
i remember when the first one was out "oo thats a really nice looking car"
then the second "yeh thats really nice to but you can tell who built it" and now where on somthing like 10 or more cars c'mon

 

Your right THIS site is about all that. Their site is about the same thing you just have to pay $20 to see it. I don't really agree with it, but it's their choice.

 

You're right it's their site I just think it's wrong to come on here and post a teaser and then charge people $20 to see the rest when we have so many great people like Denise and Megan, Al, Don and so many others that spend countless hours taking and posting pics. for us all to enjoy through out the year and never asking anything other than to share in our hobby and this wonderful site. It's just wrong.

 

I belong and the site is worth the 20 bucks on entertainment value alone. The pit crew site is not the regular 'bones site, but more like a subscription magazine. A helluva lot more entertaining and no ads. I mostly use it as inspiration when I think I'm the last person on earth who still drives my '31 till the wheels fall off. Without getting political, I think our days are numbered.

Just another way of supporting the hobby. Reminds me, I gotta' pay my Alliance. Sorry Ryan.

 

Besides, they promised the first beer at Bonneville!
