Curious to see where all the Bay Area hambers are from and what kinda hot rod y'all own I'll start Sanjose and I've got a 48 Chevy pickup
I live in San Francisco, for real, not just near it, although I am from Connecticut. I don't own any hot rods. I own a '60 Falcon rolling junk pile, and a pile of Model A parts, stuffed into a storage unit out-of-town. No club.
Millbrae (SFO), '51 Ford, '29 Ford ccpu, '29 Ford cabriolet, and most parts for a '29 Ford highboy hemi coupe, my next project.
I live in the mid west and I was raised in the City. When I go home to live ( I have a few times) I normally live somewhere between San Mateo and Redwood City. If I am just visiting I have been known to couch surf in Daly City or Santa Rosa. But I guess visiting doesn't count. The only car I ever owned when I was there was a '46 Ford coupe.
Would that be a '64 327, that might have come from the bed of my old '52 F1? My foggy memory thinks painted purple?
Yessir! Took it to LJ's for machining. It cleaned up at .060 which is kind of pushing it. It's backed up by an m21 and 4.11s and scoots along quite nicely.
Yeah, John lives right across the street from me, coming to get a 390 block from me for a 445 stroker project
San Rafael here - no club. My wife wanted a 31 Roadster (SBC350) for her birthday a few years ago (in my avatar) and I recently acquired a 62 Bel Air Wagon (SBC327). I'm at capacity unless I build and underground garage and I don't see my local building inspector approving that. I plan on heading to Norcal Knockout on Saturday in Vallejo. If you see me, say Hi!
I'll be there, but can't bring the Galaxie this year, as my enclosed trailer is full of welders etc. (refi inspector coming lol...) , and driving it from Mare Island uncorked with slicks and 5.14s and no registration might not be a good idea
Was passing thru last week...didn't see any hotrods but damn sure seen a lotta cars. Beautiful country but the traffic is more than I can bear.
The Evil Twin at Norcal Knockout a couple years ago, uncorked 427 and 5.14's with a 4K converter, aggravatin' the Chebbies- original 406-405HP car, and also an original paint 500XL And the Croozer Twin, 500XL Sunliner
