who's going to goodguys on des monies iowa?? i all ways like this show lots of rods and 50's cars.

we are gonna have booth inside. for free shipping to the show call us 216-541-4585 and i will toss it in the trailer.

we are also working like #$%^ to get our 37 ford ready this will be the first show for this car, did the test drive last week, fixing all the small stuff and making final adjustments. so i hope to drive the 37 ford , it gonna be outside
on the show field.

The whole family and I will drive in Monday or Tuesday and camp thru the end of the show (the fairgrounds campground is highly recomended).

I have been working on my wife's 57 Coupe DeVille the last few days to get it ready.

The trailer is just the back half of a 4 door that was cut in half. I didn't build it so I can't give many details. I think the front panel the hood off a 70's car, both doors open, and the trunk opens. The cover is just a chunk of plywood for now with rubber roofing material covering it.

Eventually I'll add a seat, soft cover and a mount for a big umbrella. That way I'll have a comfortable, shady spot to set no matter where I take it.

 

Going to be there Friday-Sunday.

Where is a good place to stay? Seems that most of the Hotels on the GG's site are full.

 

Check Hotels in Pleasant Hill, IA and then Altoona, IA.

The state fair grounds where the show is at is on the far east side of Des Moines and is right next to Pleasant Hill and still close to Altoona.

I think there are a couple new (built last couple years) motels in Pleasant Hill that are only 10 minutes away from the show.

All of the offical GG hotels are on the far west side on Des Moines which is well over 30 minutes from the show.

Good thing about DesMoines, it usually only takes about 20 min. max to get anywhere.
Unless you get stuck in "rush-minute" traffic. (Not quite big enough to have a real rush hour traffic)

1 quick reminder for our out of town friends, just to make everyone feel welcome, our freeway (I-235) through downtown is now equipped with big-brother friendly radar photo cameras.
+ a mobile camera unit they can park on the side of the road- usually a white suv.
