999's fired up and ready to go!!
Leaving Crap-Chester Friday morning at 7:30! Man, I can't wait!!! (Gonna be real hard to concentrate here at work for the next two days....)
hopefully im getting there friday nite late...any all nite diners by the place
I caught that
There are a few on Rt-15. I'm not sure if "Wolfe's" diner is open all night, but it's a real stainless Silk City from the fifties. Still has the neon...
April and I will be there working. I will be at my usual post at the gate crossing the track and flagging and April will be running the door prize table. We have alot of door prizes this year so make sure you drop your number in the tub at the sovenier booth and check your numbers on the board. Sumo, You got alot of numbers to call ! See you Saturday, Scott & April
Yep, Hopin' to meet a bunch of HAMBers.
Looks like I am gonna head down friday night, stay til 5 or 6 on saturday and head back. I'm gonna stay later if I can but my friend has to be back working sunday morning.
This will be my first hot rod show, looking foward to it.
One question, will there be a lot of vendors or a large swap meet? trying to decide whether to bring the car, or van. Can't exactly make another trip if i can't haul everything back
There will be a lot of venders. Might be double what there was last year. Bring your car anyway. Fill the passenger seat with parts and make your friend hitchhike home.
did we decide to have a HAMB meet and greet around 4 at the flag stand??
Sure a HAMB meet at 4 would be good. Just about everybody there is on the HAMB or a lurker.
Some of us lurk 'couse we can't tipe//tyyp///type.
besides, I'm too busy hammering these damn rivets! I figure somebody might need to sit down, so I'm bringing Bomber Seats! If a car shows up with a driver sittin on a milk crate, I might have a sale!!!
I'll be there Friday !
A bunch of us are gonna caravan up from Richmond Va., leaving about noon on Friday
Super Square Cat, The Virginia Beach Kid, Cadzilla and a few others are making the trip. If anyone else wants to fall in, let me know.
Hey Larry, how long do ya think Jr's inflatable "friend" will last this year??
I would not miss it for the world.
I am not bringing a runner, more like a pusher.
Unless anyone wants to drive the A model up, or the alum car either.
I guess I should think about that offer first.
This is going to be great.. just picked up my booze for the weekend.. dam my liver hurts
called and got a room for tomorrow. damn, my butt hurts feels like i got screwed. but oh well, i need a room, and i need to be at this show so what are you gonna do, trying to figure out whether or not to come down early, what is there to do friday night?
There will ba bands, hotrods, and like minded people everywhere!Friday night is a must!
There will be alot of rain too...
get your galoshes...
you know if you rush home the Phillies will get a rained out..
How *sure* is it to actually rain, rain? I could stand a spit or two but I don't think I'll drive my coupe with ribbed bias ply dirt trackers if it's definitely going to be raining any kind of steady.......I'm no fool.......well, maybe I am....
But I plan to go no matter what......if raining I'll take my Mustang Convert beater.....
This SUCKS!!! I have no wipers or side windows in my Merc......We're gonna get wet!!
They are saying a 40% chance of SHOWERS. Damn Tok what are you trying to do to me.
Hey...i didn't say I wasn't going...
I think it's karma telling me "eh sorry you missed 2003, so here you go"
The show is gonna be great, trucks all packed and I can't wait!!
I'll be there rain or shine! I won't be driving anything in the show this year though, the wife sold the 49 Plymouth and the falcon is in way to many parts. But I got a whole nother year to get ready!
I guess I'm a big ol fool then, I drove my roadster 10 hours in the rain with the ribbed Firestones to get there last year,,,, the car stuck to the road like glue,,,,I don't see a problem,,,,Drove that car many miles in the rain in fact.
The only problem with those tires are they are soft and wear out way too fast.
Well if you drive on them
and the push car is prepped..
The car I'm bringin' can't "go" but it can get wet.
I hope that everyone realizes that this is the only show that is more fun in the rain.
Sadly many will have to see the pictures to realize what they missed.
Fewer cars will mean more track time!
It's raining here in Richmond, we leave in an hour.
See y'all there!
You have to bring your car.
I plan to shoot photos of it. I need detail shots.
And I want a ride around the block, too.
So you have to bring it. You have my phone number if you run into trouble. And if so, I can drive it there for you!
See you there.
My brother an I will be over in the Vendor section. Come buy some parts!
I'll be the big round thing at the gate wearing a garbage bag!!
