Sorry to see this happen.... I worked for Rod a few years back and the place is just a part of Rodding history. Is there info in Bob's place? This is just devastating to so many people. Cars and tools can be replaced, but sometimes it's just not the same...

I've been in there many times, what a heart breaker. All the best to you guys, I know things will get back to the way they were but it'll try your character big time. Important to remember that despite the crushing enormity of the loss, it will be made right again.

Guys, I just don't know what to say. I'm so sorry. I'm not a praying person but know that you all are in my thoughts today. Rod, You have always been good to me, as a matter of fact, the job that is currently on my bench is there because of your recommendation. I know no one or anything can solve this for you right now, but if I can be of ANY help in the coming days or weeks, let me know... Chip

B&R shut down a few months ago.

The building that B&R used to be in is now Arizona Differential. They have been open only Two weeks at that location.

The differentail shop had a Fire wall between it and the building Az. Street Rods was in.

No fire damage to Arizona Differential shop. Only a big puddle of water on the floor of their shop.

Now Arizona Street Rods shop that's a whole diffrent story...:(

Unbelievable - my wife and I just got back today from a vacation in Scottsdale, and while we were there, we stopped by at Arizona Street Rods to check the place out.

Does anyone know how it happened? Were any cars damaged?

Our hearts go out to Mr. Rod Palmer and all his family and employees.

    Hey everyone,
Thank you for all of your kind words and thoughts. I went down to the shop yesterday and it was totally devistating to see it. It is a difficult thing to watch your place of employment going up in flames on the news just a few hours after leaving for the weekend. I can't even imagine what is going through Rod's head right now. He has been in that location for over 30 years. We had quite a few cars in there and most of them are irreplaceable. I feel terrible for our customers who also lost a part of themselves Friday night. This is just a terrible situation for everyone involved as well as the hot rodding community in Phoenix.
    Thanks again,
    -Brian W (BJ)

It was revisited last night on Fox 10 news, they interviewed a customer that had a '50 Lincoln Cosmopolitan in there. He was very cool about it, stating that the car could be replaced; but he was more concerned about Rod and the guys and what they were going to do until the shop could reopen. A class guy.

Oh my god dude very sorry to see that, i would rather see a church burn on easter sunday! Do you know what started it? Hopefully the insurance company doesnt screw with you, you know how they are, they want their premiums, but try every way in the world not to pay out the claims! Hope all goes well, my prayers go out to all involved!

I was not on duty the night of the fire. My crew & Randy from Allways Hot Rods went over there 1st thing Saturday morning to check it out. It is a very sad time for all the Hot Rodding Community in the valley of the sun right now.

Here are a few pictures from the morning after the fire.
