Who's coming? The second annual Rockin Roddin Reunion, September 16th & 17th in Quincy, Illinois. Last year had a pretty good turn out for a first year... over a 100 cars, and a great swap meet! The party on Friday night was a real good time, outstanding music, cold drinks, and a kick ass flame thrower show! This year hopes to be the same! The Friday Night Party has been moved to a new location, but it's still down by the river. South Side Boat club will be the place this year... great place, live music, cheap drinks and right on the water! The show & swap meet will be in the same place... The Adams County Fair Grounds. This year will offer the same great things... Traditional Hot Rods, Swap Meet, Music, Mini Bike Races, 60' Foot Sizzle, Pin Strippers, Food, beer, and Fun! And the best thing about this get together, is that proceeds go to the Great River Honor Flight Network. The Honor Flight helps WWII Veterans go to Washington, D.C., and visit their memorials. Here are a few shots from last years event Hope to see you there! Check out the web site: www.rockinroddinreunion.com
All the bands are booked now. The Bible Belt Sinners will play Friday nite at South Side Boat Club right on the Mississippi River. Saturday starting at 1 o'clock is a local group, The Texas Funerals, then the Rat Rod Kings from St. Louis and rounding out the night will be the Bible Belt Sinners.
Will be there with the 64 wagon this year. It was fun last year. Who was the pinstriper that was there last year? He did a great job on one of my signs.
One week from today the fun starts at the second annual Rockin Roddin Reunion!! Party at South Side Boat Club on the Mississippi River on the 16th and the show and party continues Saturday at the Adams County Fairgrounds 9 miles north of Quincy, Illinois. mini bike races, slow drags, and 60 foot sizzle plus great food, plenty of beer and bands starting at 1PM. Sorry Randy; Judy and I can't make it this year. We has a great time last year! Did you sell your 33?
hi there. what is a 60' sizzle ? looked on the web site, no help, (i'm not a computer guy) sounds kinky..
Basically it's water/bleach box and 60 ft of asphalt to do a smokey burnout! Sixty Foot Sizzle: 1PM Event will take place on the entrance road to the fairgrounds. Any vehicle registered for the show will be available to participate. You can turn your vehicle on..up..down..inside out, anyway that makes it go straight but the run is only for 60 feet, then you MUST shut it down. The Rockin Roddin Reunion staff will certify each vehicle as safe before the vehicle is allowed to participate. Each driver will be required to sign a hold harmless waiver before participation. Hope to see you here.... come on up and let it eat!!
Hey Gary, sorry to hear you won't be here this year! See ya at the Pile-up hopefully... I'll be in the Olds (fingers crossed), we got her going! We'll see what happens, going to take it to the Rockin Roddin this weekend and see how she does. Yeah... 33 is sold, it's still in the garage, but it's going to Atlanta, Ga (starting to regret it)
