RE: Air filter/Air filter housing flange size???

    i know with the small base 2G's it's 2 5/8".

But for the large base 2G's, how do you know if it's 3" or 3 1/16"? Was there a year cutoff, special application/etc.?

It's not easy to measure, without a micrometer, but i'm coming up with 3". But i'm still not totally sure.

I gotta believe that they would be interchangeable. 1/16 th is such a small amount.

I think it would make a big difference if diameter. no math genius but in circumference it would be to big.

If nobody else answers, I've got a couple of large base 2G's at my shop. I'll measure them when I go up the next time.
