Can anyone tell me if a 2 Jet Rochester is what is stock to my 316 Pontiac engine (on my 56 860 Sedan) and where online I can find a mounting gasket?

No idea if it is stock (but I assume it is, right era). As for a base gasket, if Napa doesn't have one (fairly common) I'd just make one.

I found a gasket that is simlar, except its for a rochester 2gc (2 jet) from a 56 chevy. Will this work right?

Yes, it should. They made a small base and large base. Other then that, it should work. Just measure your bolt spacing, as they are noticably different.

If for some reason it doesn't fit/work, just make one yourself that looks like this, using your base as a template.
