My RPU making the scene years ago. I like to see it like that again.
anybody know what make the frame is on this?
I submit : "1933-34 Ford pass. car" ???
Another one I could live with as is! Thanks to all the posters.
Portlander Dave Johnsons' RPU, RIP "Bub".
Make that Joyce Johnson's, "The HotRod Lady", she does get around !
Wonder who has it now, assuming it was sold, it was on that auction site some time back.
If someone new has it I hope they realize what they have and that it is not a good starting point for a street rod or something worse.
Really, I had no idea !
If I’m not mistaken, that’s noted Hot Rod photographer Eric Rickman and I think it’s his RPU.
Yep he loved ladder/Ariel shots.
News to me too Marty! I didn't know Joyce had it for sale?
Ariel shots? From a ladder? Pictures of the little Mermaid from a ladder
Surely that must be what you mean because the Ariel Atom cars hadn’t been built in that time period
Andy's Picnic 2012, "WOW," It's hard to believe that was eight years ago!
Here's a few more from the past.
Shots taken from ABOVE the car.
Obviously you meant aerial shots but that’s not what you said
More from the past.
I think this is @Dean Lowe
Sure is. Riverside, 1961. SCTA 1/2 mile drags. Love the 1/2 mile. Great ride for your money!
That's the Brissette Brothers fuel roadster in front of my car.
You shuda tried El Mirage – you get more than twice as much for your money . . .
We were chuckling 'cause he was 2 MPH off our record (again).
I did, May, 1961. I was showing the car, and driving it to school. Took me 2 weeks to get all the silt cleaned off/out of the car. From then on I was happy drag racing!!
So how fast did you go in the half mile?
At the last SCTA 1/2 mile meet the best was 144.
