Small steps. Sorting out the rear bones . I think I will be setting up the Ttube first . It would be cool to mount the front of the wishbones as long as possible. Not sure how it would work on the tapered portion of the Ttube
Spent today in the shop. Took all the gm stuff out of the body. Plans are to make a firewall that looks close to stock and fix the door latches. That's all after I cut the steel floor out ,front and back. The rest is going to be run.
lots of clearance for trinity valley road. actually have to drive thru a creek running across the road to get to the shop. one big downpour and it will wash out for sure.
Sorry about the dark photo. Mother nature cut my day short with some darkness Here is a better pic from the other night
Reasonable facsimile. Stock one in the middle. You can't buy them . I could have just weld some nuts on the cowl post tops but where's the fun in that . I recently got the one original piece and was lucky to have it.
True Hot Rodding love those Rivets. Pretty Cool Stuff going on here. Thanks for showing all your great work!
Thanks barrnone50. My next job is to make some post tops out of 14g not for the roadster but for a roadster pick up. I've made the patterns and will make them in 3 pieces. There is a little swage an inch from the top. It will be my first time work sheet that thick. Can't wait.
Made a cowl post top. Next one will be easier now my patterns are tweaked. I like the 14 gauge easy to work with and lots of meat for grinding. The blasting cabinet sure makes my work look better .
This for another roadster cowl I have with no tops btw. Sometimes I get side tracked with my other junk but it is all progress.
Thanks . I was trying to build a buck to weld the 3 pieces from the outside. The compound curves and angles made it difficult. I realized I could do the same right inside the stanchion from the back. Better fit and way easier. Still looking for a passenger door for this rpu. Rough is fine and have a rough drivers door to trade.
