I had an upholstery shop in Blue Island heading east to bring me some Seat Panels to Embroider today, 94 is closed at Calumet & 65 is closed from 94 south to Rensselaer. Anyone know how 30 is looking? 10/114 is probably under water. Are we trapped at the state line?

I just talked to a buddy of mine that lives in Itasca - said the roads from Chicago down to Joliet are going to be fine............it is the stuff from the East side that is screwed up..........at least that is what he said and I know in Gary IN that was shut down on 80.......still closed?

As of right now 94 is closed at Calumet. Im not sure what it looks like out that way, Im about 25 miles south east in the corn, about 5 miles north of the Kankakee River. It's wet here, but drying out. Water doesnt soak into concrete and roadway as fast as it does into the dirt. Im sure there are people that will be trying to come in Thurs from the East, figured wed start a traffic report.

I saw on the local news as of this morning...they were routing people off of 80 just west of the line. They say it's close to being open, might be good by the weekend. I'm 1.5 miles from the track...this area is fine. I'll post an update tomorrow.

Yep- 80-94 still closed heading east from Illinois state line and west from RT49 in Valpo.
394 to RT 30 or the Skyway / Indiana Toll Road to RT49 are the only options.
RT30 is a parking lot - not sure about the Toll Road (90-94)

Indianapolis Blvd (rt41) is now open North & South. And you can head West from there.

They hope to have 80-94 open by Friday - not a sure thing.

Chicago morning news still has 80/94 down at the state line. Rt 6 & Rt 30 are still parking lots. Maybe tomorrow on 80/94

Was still the case as of 5pm last night (Thursday night) when BobWop came thru there on his way here to Detroit from Jefferson, WI to pick up a car. It took him 4 hours longer then normal to get here.

Planning on heading to the Joliet Goodguys on friday early am from western Wi.area. I am new to the midwest and have never attended this show. How extensive is the swap meet and vendor area? I attended the Pleasanton Ca. show this spring. The cars were incredible but the swap meet and vendor area was a major disapointment. Looking for 34 Ford sheetmetal. Thanks for the insight.:)
