Kicked around for a few hours today. Will be headed back tomorrow. I really like early 30's sedans, and there was a great crop of them there Our own OldManOlds' "ol Black Betty" I'll get more pictures tomorrow. Here's the link to all of my pics from today http://public.fotki.com/fbama73/11_car_shows/road-rocket-rumble-2011/page2.html
^ I was looking at that car thinking that I'll probably be burned at the stake for this, but I like the '39s better than the 40's.
Went back out on Saturday! More cars and more people! Damn, I love Hudsons! The owner/builder of this car has a great eye for what looks good, and the skills to translate it to metal. Thank you for showing me that one of my ideas looks as good in metal as it does in my head! Two guitars in this outfit- a Gretsch and a Martin- My kind of band! Wimmens!! Met up with some other HAMBers today. Got to meet John (NotStockPhoto), and met up with TommyD (turns out that 20 years ago, I was poking my head in his shop anytime I saw the door open!) Also talked awhile with Wesley (Custom Crestline), as my daughter captured for all to see There's now over 130 pictures in the album from both days.
"The owner/builder of this car has a great eye for what looks good, and the skills to translate it to metal. The Lincoln belows to Kustomlincolnlady here on the board and her husband, Rob, whose skills they were to translate to metal.
KJustomloincolnlady, I apologize if I slighted you in my verbage. The car is way past a beaut. It's phenomenal. You and Rob have both great taste and skills.
Great to meet you and the family today. Nice to put faces with the great cars and people on here. Man did you make me feel old though. Bama let me know if you ever get down to the Suds one of these saturdays I would love to have you come by the shop and we can look at OLD ford pics I have on the wall. I'm about five minutes from the Suds. Maybe you can show me some welding tips on my EXOTIC arc welder!!! Tom
