Hot Rods rivets

    where can i buy the stock rivets that hold the locking brackets to the hood sides on a 36 chevy pickup jim carter does not list them neither does chevy of the 40's thanks

    You will have to have a way to drive them and buck them if you use rivets.

    Budda Boom Budda Bing!!! Earplugs...;)...They are probably steel rivets and as @Mr48chev said tools such as Rivet Gun, Rivet Set, and appropriate Bar with correct rivets.

    Aircraft Spruce, Hanson Rivet are a couple of other places you may be able to order what you need.
     

  5. I have installed a lot of rivets using a ball peen hammer and a piece of angle iron taped to a heel dolly . This makes it easier to hold onto. I drill the rivet head size into the angle iron so the head doesn’t mushroom. I am able to install steel rivets this way, I agree McMaster Carr will have everything you need. Hobo Jim
