Technical Rivets (educate me please)

    Some very good info in here! Not to take over the thread but I would like to learn more about the different types, tools and ways to rivet. Does anyone know of a good book or article that could give me some more insight? Also what setting tool would be used to set the rivets pictured below, they are for the vent window pivots on my OT 72' GMC. From what I know they are semi tubular and are aluminum...I think, any idea what they would be called? The "tool" that you can get to set them is a pos and I want to do it right!

    There is an aviation tool supplier named Browns Aviation Tools, They have a wed site you can order from. They may have books call and ask.

    Check out " Model T race car tv program. It shows a guy shooting and bucking rivets.
