First off-- Thank you to all the past veterans and those currently serving. Now a tribute to my families neighbor since 1964. Today my family and I attended Lowell's funeral which included an honor guard. The weather here broke long enough to have a sunny day for the burial. A fitting tribute to a man who served in the Korean war with the US Army in the trenches, a man who had been married to Lorene for over 54 years. She preceded him in death in 2008. He left behind 3 sons and one daughter, one sister, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a Christian and a proud American. His life revolved around his wife and family. His family was the kind of family you always want as a neighbor and friend. His stories from the Korean war could send you packing for the hills. I can simply say he was a person of high integrity and love for his family, friends, and country. RIP Lowell and enjoy being reunited with Lorene.
