We lost another one last night, "groundpounder" AKA Jim "wildman" Watson. Jim was a talented fabricator , welder, dirt track driver and hot rod builder and lover. He started out in Wisconsin, and his talents took him south to Nascar land. Jim was currently working a a 1932 Ford, which was a long term project due to his busy schedule. He was currently a fabricator on Martin Truex Jr's team, and it was nice to see a win today to honor him. RIP Jim and Godspeed.
I sent Ryan a PM asking him to add Jim "Groundpounder" to the ever growing list of Emeritus members. God Speed Jim. HRP
Condolences to the Watson family and friends on the passing of Jim. There is some comfort in knowing he had kept busy with what was his passion.
Sad news indeed. I saw the coverage during the NASCAR race but didn't realize Jim was "groundpounder" on here. Thoughts and prayers out to his Friends, Family and all who knew him.
Healing vibes out to the family of a member of our automotive community. Be strong and proud of all of this talented man's accomplishments.
