Another of the greats has gone on.......
RIP and have a stogy on me in car heaven.
Bummer. Talked at length with him at Grand National Show in the 90's. Love this pic in the shop with filler dust on his glasses.
That sucks. Sad to see so many of the legends leaving us lately.
left his mark on the car world - will be missed - sympathy goes out to His Family
RIP, Bill. Thanks for the ride!
Wow - another great one is gone.
Godspeed Mr. Hines.
RIP. Thanks for all the great cars
RIP Mr. Hines
R.i.p. would of loved to meet him.
A great guy doing what he loved to do right to the end.
R.I.P. Bill, you will be missed...............
Thats a shame. My metal mentor and I were just talking about him on Wednesday. Then again, we seem to end up talking about Bill Hines every time we get together, and for Mark to talk about another metal man with reverence is really saying something.
I'll never forget watching Mr. Hines lead the nose of that chevy on that Monster Garage episode. ABSOLUTE MASTERY of his craft. That was the only episode of that show I wish I could see again.
Goodbye Bill. Thank you for showing the way.
Rip Mr. Hines, you sure left your mark on the car world.
A tiny man with enormous talent. (Not to mention an enormous cigar!)
RIP Great One!!
REST IN PEACE MR BILL HINES...KUSTOMZ FOREVER...FOREVER KUSTOMZ...
God's speed...RIP Mr. Hines...
Thanks for always taking the time.
Never had the fortune to meet Bill Hines. Only in pictures.
And may I say, Thanks for all your art...
Legend. He was the Keith Richards of the car world, lead and cigars everyday and still made it to 94
Rest in Peace Mr. Hines. Him and his work will live on forever.

I'm glad I got to see him working and enjoying himself up at Salina one year. RIP.
Few people reach Icon status in any field, Roth, Dutch, Barris (both of them)are the influences that invariably come up when critiquing later builders. Bill ranks right up there with any of them. R.I.P. Mr. Hines
R I P Mr. Hines .
Not sure where to put this but Bill Hines has passed away at 94. He died in his sleep this morning around 2 am. He will be sorely missed. I wish I got the chance to meet him.
