Rick Bales heart attack,193257 on the HAMB

I met Rick for the first time at the Roundup. Great guy. He seems very well, he has an amazing spirit which is what undoubtably got him through this ordeal in good order.

Hey Ricky, see you in a few days. We'll be there next week. You are certainly a blessed guy and you are especially blessed to have such good friends as Jerry and Sharon Gose who I know helped plenty with your recovery. Most go through life and don't find friends of that caliber.

Thanks to everyone and I mean everyone that has posted on this thread. Yes I made it to the roundup and can't tell you how much it meant to me to see my friends. Very overwhelming at times but I can't believe that I have the friends i have. If it wasn't for my friends and there prayers and concerns I would not have made it to this level. It was realy good to see everyone from Texas to Canada and from California to the east coast. Thanks to Bob for posting this and being a dear friend. Hope to see the rest of you this summer somewhere on the road. Rick Bales

Hi Rick.Glad to hear that you are doing well,all things considered.Had my heart attack in `08. Not as bad as yours.Triple by pass.I was lucky.Was able to start driving again in 5 days after getting home..I had my own version of cardio rehab.I used to heat with wood.So,it was play chase the chain saw and bust wood with a 15lb maul.

It was good to hang with you at Bob's and in Austin. You look good and those battery packs are certainly going to help with gettin' chicks.
