Rich, Congrats on the completion of the survivor. Bet it is too cool to describe. Also that it will probably run like a scared cat !

    Many congrats to Rich.

I have been lurking for a while and watched this re-build for some time…

It has inspired me and given me some direction on parts that will someday become my chassis…

Rich I hope to see a pictorial of this build added to your web site…

I lost track of all the pics I have added to my collection…

Wow! I wish I had seen this thread earlier, I could have saved you a lot of "detective" work. It looks like everything came together OK though. I don't remember the name of the owner after Dick Fittoff, but he was from Defiance, Ohio. Shortly after he purchased the car, he sent a picture of it to Hotrod Magazine. It was published in the "readers mail" section.
My Dad did some work on the car when Chester owned it ( the stainless firewall & wheelwell inserts). This was about 1958 but I can't tell you anything about it before that.
You did a great job! It's good to see the old roadster back on the road better than ever.

Hotrawd - I didn't do the research, but Howard did. He'll be interested to see this. Thanks!
