Hot Rods Resurrection of an Old Hot Rod

Got door panels made... Now working on the kick panels..

Pic Of one installed, NO the winder crank is not installed yet....

 

Got the lights wired grilled installed...

 

Was able to get a quick snap of the truck together. Small bits need to be tidy-up

 

Just driving around town here it had a small oil leak coming from the valve cover.. hmm
Thought I glued it down good.. So drove to work for a better shake down test about 40 miles round trip on the freeway, Drives nice and straight does wonder a little since gear box does have a little play but nothing to have to constantly over correct.
When I got home there was a pool of oil on the intake WTF !
So tore things apart and found the rockers was hitting the valve cover and made holes..



Guess I put the stock valve cover on backwards who would know on a SBC, Making the Lincoln valve covers to work on this engine.. Back to the drawing board.. Need to get this done before next weekend going to the Rockabilly bash car show..

 

Bummer, Will the Lincoln valve covers clear?

 

They are actually little bigger than the head.

that's why they slide over the SBC stock ones
