I recently bought an old alky flathead, at least this is what we think. 1. the block and heads have been filled with aluminum 2. it ran an edelbrock super performer 2x2 setup I believe that I saw this car run at the Little Rock Ark. drag strip around Sept or Oct of 1962. The lack of carbon and sludge buildup along with dry block and heads says alky to me s ince the flathead is still in one piece if there was any nitro it was low . hope to have it home in my shop this week and will start further disassembly if any of you folks out there will tell me what you would like to see in the pictures I would appreciate any input that would bring this critter not only back to life but back down the1/4.

If you have the carbs that were on it you can tell right quick if they were set up for alky.Good pictures of everything you have would be a great help.
