A good sandblaster would make short work of them.
just sand and paint ,no need to strip
I agree. Blast them!
I recently had a set powder coated. I asked him if I ever wanted to take it off how hard would it be? He told me use a propane torch and a wire brush, and don't to forget a scrapper.
What does a scrapper have to do with cleaning wheels ? Wouldn't he just sell them for the scrap value ?
Wheels were powder coated by mfg and I didn't know whether to paint or re-coat, so needed good surface..........took to an "industrial strength" blaster who normally does truck frames/bodies and, for cost of $80, my wheels were blasted clean..........IMO this was best solution ........I ended up powder coating once again, different color though, and turned out 1st class.........
