I am looking for a removable sealant - silicon perhaps, that I can put on some broken down window seals...something just to get me by until I can put all new weatherstripping in. I don't need to run huge beads....just a few small areas where the rubber has eroded away.
black Electrical tape is tempery n removeible on body side, sealant - silicon can be added on top. So later tape can just be lefted
I wonder if something like this would work? http://www.dap.com/dap-products-ph/seal-n-peel-removable-weatherstrip-sealant/
i have used that to seal the storm windows in the drafty old money pit i live in. it works well and will come off when you want it as long as you put it on thick enough to grab. a bigger bead is better.
