Has anyone had any experience with Remington bias ply WWW tires? Good ,bad etc.I have used the Dunlop G78 and am wondering if the rems are as good. They look the same.

I can't find where they even have made a bias passenger tire in the past 30 years. They sell a "touring" narrow whitewall radial that seems to be popular with the lowrider brigade but no wide whites that I can find nor can I find a website for Remington tires.
I found this outfit that lists about every new and currently made wide white either bias or radial that is being made now. https://www.performanceplustire.com/special-pages/white-wall-tires/ No Remington bias of any kind.
The ones that the guy has for sale in the classifieds are seriously old from what I can figure. Ok for a static display museum car but not for heading out on a thousand mile road trip.

  3. I remember "back in the day" when a set of L60 Remington XT-120's would put up a ton of smoke doing a burnout!

  6. I got a very old pair of Remingtons in the garage 5.00x15 black walls. They are in good shape still.

I am with @Mr48chev on this one I was not aware that Remington was making bias ply tires. I guess that they could be but I was not aware. Most modern bias ply tires come from India by the way if you are buying new bias plys and do not like import stuff.

I read that they were made by Goodyear but they dropped the name some time ago. I have run the Dunlops from time to time and they were ok. I bought new Coker G78s for a 57 Chev a few years ago, they were ok but not as good as radials. I bought the Remingtons anyway on good Chev rims and they look good. I just like to change the look of the 39 once in a while. I live in the country and dont do more than 50-55 mph anyway.
