I just getting started on my 1931 Tudor and I've made a small mistake. I removed the wood from the rear window but didn't make a note of distance the wood should be beyond the metal body edge were the nails go. From looking at the old wood it appears to be 3/16-1/4 inch past it. Does that sound about right? Are all four pieces supposed to be beyond the metal? Thanks; Jeff

Just put the wood back with the nail holes aligned and take the measurement. You still have the old wood don't you?

I did that with the sides. That's how I came up with 3/16 - 1/4 inch. But what I can't tell for sure is if the top and bottom boards should be the same as the sides do to the condition of wood.
