Customs Registering a home built custom in Connecticut?

    Registering a home built custom in Connecticut? What's the process? What are they looking for and how bad do they bust em?

    I think it has to do with how much is homebuilt, if it's a frame up type build T bucket with all kind of parts it will have to go to Wethersfield and be inspected as a composite by their "engineer" if it's a custom with stock frame and mostly stock body parts you can register as stock year of manufacture same if you just changed the motor "like a small block in a Dodge, and that just needs a vin check and an inspection at a local garage

    If the car looks even somewhat close to some other factory car...I'd "find" a way to register it as that.

    I'm not going to say anymore about what "find" means. lol

    W'field can be a trip to total nightmare. Avoid if possible.

    Go on DMV web site and look!
    If it looks like a Model a? For example ? then get paperwork to
    register as that! A lot less painfull!
    It can be done as a composite vehicle also?
