Looking to do a 60’s style for the coupe. Did they make redline cheater slicks back in the day? I’ll probably run some on the front but not sure about the rear. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I meant redlines on the front. But I could make it awd.... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have had a few pairs made by the nice people at diamond back. Give them a call, if they don't sell the tires you want buy them and have them shipped to DB, they will red line them and ship them to you. I've had TA's red lined, nitto 555 drag tires red lined, I'm not sure if they will red line the capped Towel City tires but that would look pretty bitchin on a mid 60's muscle car.
This is good info, thanks! The pair in my pic above are 60's vintage......I thought about running them, but they are so old and hard it's probably an accident waiting to happen.
Eliminator Tire Company, Enfield Connecticut made red line tires back in the 60's. I ran a pair on the rear of my OT ride at the time.
Bandit is right, Diamondback put whitewall's on my Nitto 555 drag radial's, can't count how many passes are on them and they still look like new (the whitewall, tire's are getting pretty worn)
