Are there still any Redi-strip de-rusting locations anymore, or did they all get shut down?

Reason I ask, is that Redi-strip used to tout a process they had for derusting dissimilar metals safely. For instance, I have some Hydramatic toruses I want to de-rust, and the shells are steel but they also have an aluminum piece hard-riveted to them that cannot be reasonably removed. Plus some of these have brass brazing on the fins...

So, who to send them to for dipping?

Buy a jug of Evapo-Rust. It won't touch ANYTHING but the steel.

    Where do you get it?

I did find one Redi-strip in IN with Google, e-mailed them, and they said they would have to soda-blast and then follow up with a fine media. This is an automatic tranny part, so a liquid would be best.

    Tell me more about evapo-rust.

  4. the stuff is great, totally noncaustic and eco safe , I use it all the time , but parts must be totaly disassembled and works best a little warmed up.paint Immediately after drying or rust restarts- orison -1 800 460 2403 or 1 915 692 1135
