Was roaming around the net tonight doing some research into drivers, races, and old movies.
I thought I'd post this as I know some of you really enjoy old movies, especially where there's "SPEED MAD CROWDS...." involved!

Yeah thought you guys would like it.... glad you did. There's an OLD movie with Jimmy Stewart in it,.. can't recall the name just now, but if I'm correct it was his first movie he did and it was about racing too! I think it was called, "SPEED". ?

We watch the news, (once in a while) and TCM,... occasionally they've been showing some horrible 1960s crap so we might catch something else, but its pretty much a constant diet of TCM in my house!

Don't mean to rob your thread, but NetFlix has Two Lane Blacktop available. Watched it again a few nights ago. I'd forgotten what GREAT cinematography it was, really crisp clean video with excellent color. Must have been digitally remastered or something!

    Oh that's ok,...
I've seen posts about a guy's new racing slicks in a threads dedicated to questions on flathead intakes, so I guess everything's fair game...?

Good movie though. Watched it when I was a kid.

I just think it's pretty cool to bring out in the open some stuff people have overlooked all these years.

    What's old, is new again!

More old movies from the 1930s dealing with racing or hot rods are:

    - Speed Devils (1936)
    - Burn 'em Up Barnes (series of movies, 1934?)
