Picked this one up, it's in nice shape but I can't ID it. I thought it was zephyr at first but not the same bucket as a zephyr unless I'm looking at the wrong one.
I was looking at Auburn Speedster close but no cigar... that's a toughy...I will surmise that has a double that may have had a license plate bracket and plate light as well. One thing for sure it's a beautiful example of the fine art of Automobile design of the Deco 30s...
Looks like it may have come from a hearse or an ambulance?,I have no idea but it looks pretty nice, imagine trying to find a mate to it. Harvey
It is from a 1935 Chrysler Airstream (not Airflow). A rare piece. This one seems to have replacement or non-original lenses.
Chaddilac, can you remove the lens from the tail body? I want to see the bottom of the lens. I picked up 3 class lens very, very similar to the lens on this tailight. I thought it was for my Zephyr tailights but they are about half the size. The bottom mount of the lens is very similar to bottom of the Zephyr lens. It has tabs at the bottom. If you can post up just the lens, I will post up the pics of the lenses I have. Fryguy
Steady hands rule the day on taking that one apart. Maybe put a soft towel on a bench or table so it will not roll off.
