Do those blue lines represent a new door opening shape? Because I really like the swept back and rounded edge laid out there.
yes, that blue line represents the door opening....i MAY end up doing a 3/4 door, but if i do, the shape will be the same
This is an excellent example of a work in progress, but I am wondering, since the project is outside, why not just prime as you go. In my early days of body shop work, it was hammer with a large rock, to my forehead, to prime the areas of bare metal before I go home that night. Even in the shipbuilding area, bare metal could not go unprimed for more than 4 hours. I have to say, your work and insight are above standards.
you're 100% right,,,i should be priming at least the bare metal....i plan to blast the entire car at some point, but it really wouldn't hurt to have some of it in primer before that....lots of welds to grind down as well...not sure if i should do some of that along the way too, or just wait until almost all of my welding is finished before i have a "grinding festival"..lol.....i've asked myself these questions along the way many times, but so far, i've just stayed focused on the actual work,,,maybe it's time to seriously consider some grinding and priming along the way...
thinking a roof with a FORD FUTURA vibe would look pretty cool....did this quickie composite rendering to see how it would look....
Loveing this!, I am working along simular lines thou not as radical as yours imagehosting.rodsnsods.co.uk
Thank you, very much work in progress as cant decide wether to go asymetric with it or use some bullits, also great minds must think alike as have lines drawn on the rear quarter for door openings very simlar to yours.................
i can honestly say, i can't see anything that doesn't work together....so, mike....it took me a while, but there will be no major changes...
more progress on the front end....merc grille shell, kaiser headlight bezels, cut down gravel pan, custom made rolled pan from a shoebox roof section....
