I thought it would be fun to do a thread that shows cars/trucks and parts you may have found or bought lately. Whether it is a quick flip or a car that you plan on making a project out of. Maybe even show off something that you bought for your man cave etc. I know lots of us buy vehicles that are not worthy of having their own thread yet for whatever reason so I figure this may be a easy way to show them off. Also if it is a part you bought for a car you currently have a thread on maybe share the thread link so we can follow.
How about some man cave decorations. I always hit thrift stores, antique stores, resale shops, ect. with the wife. She decorated the house, I do my shop. I won’t pay more than a buck or two for things though. I found this stuff buried in a corner at a huge old barn that sold antiques. The owner sold each item between $.50 and $1. All have parts in them, some the originals. The Ford spark plug box has 4 plugs inside each in their own little box, and the plugs.
That is some pretty cool stuff. I just bought a champion spark plug that has a primer bowl. I have never seen anything like that before.
Got this last week. Don’t have a clue what I’ll do with it(I have ideas) but don’t need a big truck project.
I Found this old Barnes drill press out in front of a neighbors house on garbage pickup day last week. Trying to find information on it.

Not real exciting,but I pulled both these out of the recycling dumpster at work in the last 10 days-read FREE A Mikita chop saw and a battery booster/charger. Both work. I just got done cutting 30 pieces of rebar tonight with the chop saw. Good timing, as I never had one.
Went to a garage sale recently and from the look of it I thought I'd probably hit a jackpot. Not to be, though. After searching for anything car related I ran across this Stewart-Warner tach. I was excited enough to grab it up but neglected to look at the face until I got home. A 4500 rpm tach, what good is that? Anyway, the owner told me to just take it, no charge. Thank you very much!
It has what looks like a homemade bracket, I wondered about a tractor. It's in great condition, it was free, and looks good on my garage wall.
I just got this antique Dremel tool. Depending on how well it works, it will probably be replacing my newer Dremel. I mean, come on, a Dremel with a bakelite housing?... how cool is that?
This one I’ve never seen before. A SW governor that works off vacuum. I found a 1948 patent for it but nothing else.
Well I guess they are still out there. Found this 1928 Model A. I should say rediscovered as I had seen it when I was a kid and forgot about it. I'm supposed to get it this spring. He wants me to wait until the ground is frozen.
I found a bunch of info on the Lombard Governor co. In 1984 They developed hydraulic water wheel governors for the mills in New England. Moved to Ashland in 1904 and started making chainsaws in the 40s.
Thanks for the info. So I'm in Hopkinton, where the Boston Marathon starts. The town motto is "It all starts here" Prior to them figuring out that Hopkinton was 26.2 miles from Boston, the marathon started in Ashland. Someone over there put up a sign saying "It all started here"
I sold this two days ago. An "Angeles" product, this might possibly be the toughest trike ever built.
I cleaned up the panel a little and it’s solid brass. Wish I knew what brand boat it came off of. Got to be from the 20s.
These boat vents were too cool looking to pass up, got them real cheap. Solid brass also, maybe the same boat! Three inches across, I’m thinking air cleaners.
......I know a guy who is deep into vintage boats, but mostly '30's, '40's and '50's wooden ones. He has dozens of them. That said, he is super "boat knowledgeable" and might have some info on that gauge cluster. He's in nearby Croom, but I can give you his contact information if you want to communicate with him.
