ive been having issues with my rear spring on the roadster(29 on a 32chassis)! Can't get the t spring to work( stiff) to wide to work the schakels. Thinking of going to coil overs. Any body give me suggestions on which coil over spring weight. Thanks

I hope they may be of some help to you.
Remember it is spring rate but also angle of setup.

If you are looking for a softer ride and want to keep using a rear spring, there is a lot of info on using the '35-'40 Ford front spring on the rear. I did that on the '29 on a '32 style frame I'm building. Depending on what stage your car is at, it may be more work than you'd care to tackle.

Stock spring. Shackles are straight up . Tried removing leafs and cutting some for a better ride. No luck with that. Need a spring that would be narrower eye to eye than I have. I have a q c so I need a spring to stay out of the way of that .Bushing are speedway

Thanks to all who have answered . Great info

  8. Robert,if you end up going with coil overs check out the QA-1 shocks, they have a knob for adjusting the ride quality,I recently replaced the ancient TCI coil overs on my sedan and the ride is greatly improved. HRP

The '40 front spring is too flat to work with your quick change.
