rear shock balls

Guys - just putting rear end back together on Model A - I had the main leaf eyes reversed

Looks like the shackles will interfere with the shock ball on the casing

I am not using the standard shocks ( although they are still in place)

Ok to cut the balls off the axle ?

Suggestions ?

they shouldn't interfere with the shackles.

 

You definitely don't want to get your balls caught in your shackles.
