rear problem

    Put a blazer rear in with a 350 turbo 3spd in high or 3rd it feels like its in 2nd gear , was the rear meant for a 4spd. ??? any one know ? 89 blazer rear

    Probably meant for overdrive. You didn't check the ratio first? now you know...

    Don't make any diff 3 or 4 speed,high is direct. If the Blazer was a standard trans the rear could be 3.50-3.70. Ya should have checked the ratio before ya put it in.

    S-10 Blazer, or a big one? What was the original tranny? Hope its around 3.55 or so ratio.

    not if the 4 speed is an automatic....like the automatics they put in Blazers in 1989, which are all 4 speeds with overdrive

    I, think you right 4 spd. auto was in the s10. Iam in deep shit right ?

    Well, if 3rd fells like second, then 1st and 2nd should get you there alot quicker.... just push the go pedal and don't reach for the dash!!!

    The sob has a big cam you can go about 80 mph and back off the thing feels like your in 2nd gear !!! Better get the torch out !!

    Yep I know 4 speed autos are OD. Was not spec'd weather std or auto. and far as that goes the exception was the early Hydros, 4 speed and direct.
     
  12. Oh heck no, low gears are fun! Low gears with a posi behind an engine that makes a good torque is = way fun! Sucks for prolonged highway speeds but a LOT of fun getting there.
