Hey guys, need a little help in identifying an axle I have. I've looked up the casting number on the third member which is 535200. From what I could read it turns out to be a Pontiac/olds rear end. One thing I have noticed is that I can't find a picture of a housing that looks like the one I have. Perhaps someone can give me info. The reason I chose this rear end is because is measures 50" flange to flange which will allow me to run larger tires under the rear fenders of my truck without sticking out. Thanks very much.

The spring perches look factory to me. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know squat about these but are they worth a darn?? I'm just looking for a streetable rear end to go under my 36. The craziest I'll ever go is a mild cammed big block but nothing serious. I'm just shooting for a daily driver resto-mod.

The perches I'll be knocking off soon. I have a four-link for it.

thank you for the info.. much appreciated. fabcraft is not to far from me and ive already ordered a repair manual so i can get this thing rebuilt. i ran all the numbers on it and it is manufactured august 4th, 1960 and has a 364ish.1 gear ratio or something. i already forgot. im going to talk to the guys at fabcraft and get all the parts i need and will probably be ordering the wilwood disk brake conversion next week.

i was actually quite impressed with the comparison charts of a 9.3" vs a 9". the 9.3's components are all much larger.

its definately a freakin tank for sure... i couldnt lift it with another friend helping so i had to use my tractor front end loader to set it on the table.
