I recently did a rattlecan paintjob on my traditional 29 roadster. I kept it white but a thad more vanilla/off white...and some subtle black with red scallops as a nod to early sprint cars and air racers of the 30s...kind of. The goal was all together, with the aprons, the slanted windshield, the wheel/tire size and the scallops, to get the illusion of speed on an otherwise pretty square and boxy 29 body. And it came with an 4" drop all around when I bought it. Also, it is not a coincidence that the point of the scallop ends in level (ish) with the "beltline" ....and off course... I had Gus Maanum in the back of my head.
